It’s that time of year again! The 20 Books of Summer Challenge, hosted by Cathy, is back! My post is a tad late this year because I couldn’t quite decide if I should sign up or not. Last year was a struggle already and we all know my reading and especially reviewing mojo are even worse now than ever. But hey, it’s become tradition really, hasn’t it. So here I am in my fourth year of joining the 20 Books of Summer Challenge.
The aim is to read and review 10, 15 or 20 books between June 1st and September 1st. The best thing about this challenge is the lack of rules. Want to swap a book? Go for it! Want to change half your list? By all means! Want to change your challenge goal halfway through the summer? Have at it! I take full advantage of these non-rules, believe me. Last year’s list was completely unrecognisable by the time the challenge ended. Kind of makes you wonder why I make one in the first place 😉.
As always, I had a plan. Some recently published books, some that aren’t out yet (because I will of course be dropping everything when the new Karin Slaughter arrives on my doorstep), but mostly review copies and older books from the TBR. Yeah … that went nowhere fast.
These are the 20 chosen ones. For now. Don’t get too attached to this list. Odds are something about it will change about an hour after I post this because I’m just that fickle. Which is exactly why this challenge is so perfect because it’s all allowed!
In no particular order, with links to Goodreads for your convenience. Reviews will be added as and when they are written. I hope.
There you have it. It’s a pretty fine list, if I do say so myself. Should I mention it underwent at least five changes in the time it took me to prep this post? 🤔
Have you read any of these? Which one would you start with?
If you are joining the 20 Books of Summer Challenge, good luck and happy reading! Wishing everyone a fabulous Summer. xx
