February Wrap-Up

Well, now. February, eh? Blink and you missed it.

February brought freezing cold temperatures and some of that white fluffy stuff that makes the world look infinitely more pretty.

And then, hormonal February also brought blue skies, sunshine and temperatures that made it feel like Spring.

And that’s about as memorable as February got, to be honest. Just more of the same. Who knew we’d still be in the middle of this pandemic one year on? Although I must say I’m still wholeheartedly approving of the lack of socialising in my life. 😂

Anyway, onto the books!

BOOKS I READ IN FEBRUARY

A grand total of 11. Although I suppose Wanderers counts for two. Again, not a really impressive amount for someone who used to read at least 20 books per month but … it still is what it is.

BOOKS I BOUGHT IN FEBRUARY

Reading one Agatha Christie per month means stocking up on her books. Any excuse. And of course, while I’m going that I might as well buy some other books as well. Ten seems quite low, though. Let’s see if I can do better next month. 😏

RECEIVED FOR REVIEW

With thanks to Michael Joseph and Orenda Books for The Girl Who Died by Ragnar Jónasson, Girls Who Lie by Eva Björg Ægisdottir, Facets of Death by Michael Stanley and The Assistant by Kjell Ola Dahl.

Oops. Good thing I do those weekly “what am I reading” posts, eh? 😳

COMING UP ON THE BLOG IN MARCH

These are the only dates set in stone.

I will, as always, try to fill some of the other gaps with reviews. Please don’t hold your breath. 😉

And that’s a wrap for February. Wishing you all a fabulous March and lots of happy reading! Until next time! xx

By my reckoning, that means your TBR went down by 1 this month! How dare you!! Clearly you need to have a book-buying binge urgently!

PS On the subject of the pandemic, I’m getting my jab on Sunday – I’m sooooooo excited!!! I shall be running up and down Kirkintilloch High Street on Monday hugging random strangers! So you may want to avoid the area… 😀

Avoid the area? I don’t think so. I shall be there with my camera, ready to put the footage on social media! 😏

Down by one means nothing. If you knew the actual state of my TBR, you’d have heart palpitations. 😳

I’m totally with you on the socialising part; the one advantage of the lockdowns. xD So many excellent titles in this post! And is it weird that I kind of miss having snow? I’m not a big fan of winter, but it never snows down here and it’s been ten years since I last saw snow. xD

I don’t think it’s weird at all. There’s something incredibly magical about it.

Oh, I already forgot about the snow. I did love the early sunshine! Seems like February was a good reading month for you.
