Weekly Wrap-Up (February 24)

Happy Sunday! Not entirely sure where this week went. But it’s been full of lovely Spring temperatures, beautiful blue skies and glorious sunshine. Long may it continue! I’ve had it with the cold and miserable weather. Bring on Summer!

On the flip side, this weather somehow has me wanting to clean my house from top to bottom and work in my garden which is all kinds of weird. So I’ve been fighting that urge with every fibre in my body. Hopefully that feeling will pass soon or I may need to undergo an exorcism ๐Ÿ˜‚

Reading-wise, I was determined to do better this time after a rather disappointing two books last week. So let’s see how I did and what I read.

BOOKS I READ THIS WEEK

Woohoo! I’m pleased with seven books, especially because Their Lost Daughters is an audiobook and those take way longer to finish.

Lacking a bit of enthusiasm there, dude. 7 books! I mean, at least you could smile a ….. oh, wait. You brought wine? All good! Carry on! ๐Ÿ˜Š

BOOKS I BOUGHT THIS WEEK

Well, I had to, didn’t I? Wouldn’t want my TBR to run out with all that reading I’m doing. ๐Ÿ˜

ARC’s RECEIVED VIA NETGALLEY

All this not requesting is fine and dandy and when I DO request, I get the dreaded “denied” email, which I assume is the universe trying to tell me something. But then we have the lovely publishers who invite me to read something and that seems to be a “no, thank you” I haven’t quite mastered yet. Oops.

So close to officially surviving February! Am I slowing down? We will see. But I can tell you, you should prepare yourself for the low amount of blog tours in March. I am learning! Somewhat. ๐Ÿ˜‰ (Okay, almost, curse those last-minute additions! ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜‚)

In other news, this week marks my two year blog birthday. How the hell did that happen?! Sometimes it feels like I only started yesterday. Sometimes it feels like I’ve been doing it for too long already. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Still having fun though, so I guess I’ll go on for another year ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thank you to all of you who follow, read my reviews and leave comments. You’re a fine bunch! โค๏ธ

Right, that’s it for another week. Someone (read : I) has four reviews to write for the upcoming week, books to read and lovely sunshine to enjoy. I hope the sun is shining where you are as well. Have a fabulous week and lots of happy reading! Until next time! xx

Yes the sun is out here too and I was reading outside, squinting at my book with one eye closed (itโ€™s either normal glasses or sunglasses, I did wear contacts for years but they gave me so much trouble the last time I wore them). Seems like youโ€™re doing ok reading wise! Happy blogiversary too, I can still remember you starting out, all newbie and such ๐Ÿ˜„ I have mine coming up this week too ๐Ÿ˜Š Have a great week Eva!

I luckily don’t need glasses to read but I do have to wear my sunglasses when I read outside because my eyes don’t like bright light. No, I’m not a vampire ๐Ÿ˜‚

I remember too and now lovely you were, inviting me on to your blog! ๐Ÿ˜˜

I feel like I should have clarified that I meant review tours. Content doesn’t count, does it? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜‚

Thank you, Amanda! As long as it stays fun, I’ll be here! xx

We have sunshine too! Iโ€™d almost forgotten what it was like. Glad your reading mojo is on its way back – Iโ€™m struggling a bit myself at the moment so catching up on a backlog of reviews while I have the chance. Many congrats on your second blog birthday ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰Cheers๐Ÿฅ‚

I so know what you mean. It seems to have been such a long Winter. Although not nearly cold enough, in hindsight. Still, sunshine, I’m not complaining!

Hope your reading mojo makes a swift return! Sometimes it takes just one book to revive it! xx
