Weekly Wrap-Up (February 10)

This week’s wrap-up is a bit on the short side as I’m expecting friends really soon and I suspect they’d like me to be dressed in a more appropriate way than I am right now.

Another week of potential tongue-biting but instead I’ve just been rolling my eyes a lot and have found the best way to deal with seeing people showing their true colours, is to laugh about them in private.

Live and let live, people. It’s not rocket science.

Thank goodness for books, eh? I mean, sure, wine provides a good escape too but my liver prefers the book option. 😉

So, how did I do this week?

| BOOKS I READ THIS WEEK |

And another six books bite the dust. I was aiming for seven. Not entirely sure what happened. 🤔

| BOOKS I BOUGHT THIS WEEK |

Confession time. I just really wanted to buy something. Anything. I wasn’t even picky. In The Night Wood caught my eye because of the cover. A River in the Trees as well but since I’m on a historical fiction kick lately, that was a bonus. The Companion has been on my wishlist for ages so I fixed that.

Well, that’s a surprisingly quiet week in the midst of the February chaos. Either that or I forgot something. Eek.

Right, that’s it. Told you it would be short today. I haven’t even been able to think of a question of the week. I’ll try and do better next week 😉

Have a fab week and lots of happy reading! Until next time! xx

You mean PJs are not the official Sunday outfit??????

‘Another week of potential tongue-biting but instead I’ve just been rolling my eyes a lot and have found the best way to deal with seeing people showing their true colours, is to laugh about them in private’ Yes mama! I don’t know what yours was about but my week has been all about sighing and discovering what people really are like!

Sums it up pretty well, I’d say. I’m pretty sure we’re talking about the same things.

PJ’s are apparently not the official Sunday outfit when people visit. Who knew?! 🙄😂

Sunday is all about comfy clothing! You should tell your friends it’s the official dress code or they are fired. 😉 All these books look great by the way… Here’s to next week being wonderful! xx

6 books, I’m jealous I barely finished 1 this week. I really like the look of the hunting party, I bought it the other day. Happy blogging.

I’ve no idea what’s going on but I’ve managed to get through almost a decade of blogging pretty much drama free by rolling my eyes to myself and keeping well out of it.

Anyway … I bought In The Night Wood too this week. It’s a stunning looking book indeed but a bit skinier than I’d expected! I also bought the hunting party because I’ve read a lot of good things about it. I can see my bank balance taking a big hit now I’m back to the blog 🤣🤣📚📚

The trick is to stay away from Facebook and Twitter. The less you see, the better.

My copy of Into The Night Wood just arrived and I see what you mean. It’s really tiny! But so pretty!

Have I mentioned yet how thrilled I am to have you back?! Sorry about the bank balance though 😂

I’m not even sure I’m keeping up any more with what’s going on among bloggers, unless it’s about the coffee thing which isn’t even worth commenting on, I don’t even know :-). Oh I look forward to your Thursday and Friday reviews! You’re really getting back in the game it seems 🙂
