At the end of last year, I mentioned doing a post focusing on some of my most anticipated releases for the new year. Since then, it seems everyone and their dog has done a post like that so obviously my idea wasn’t as original as I thought it was. Anyway, I decided to share this list regardless and hopefully you’ll find something that will pique your interest.
Listed by publication date for digital and hardcover copies.
JANUARY
Steve Cavanagh – Twisted
Matt Wesolowski – Changeling
Will Dean – Red Snow
Steph Broadribb – Deep Dirty Truth
Diane Setterfield – Once Upon A River
FEBRUARY
Angela Marsons – Dead Memories
Jo Spain – Dirty Little Secrets
Stacey Halls – The Familiars
Louise Beech – Call Me Star Girl
C.J. Tudor – The Taking of Annie Thorne
Alex Michaelides – The Silent Patient
APRIL

Gillian McAllister – The Evidence Against You
MAY
Stuart MacBride – All That’s Dead
Alison Weir – Anna of Kleve : Queen of Secrets
Sarah Hilary – Never Be Broken
Melanie Golding – Little Darlings
JUNE
Karin Slaughter – The Last Widow
Alex North – The Whisper Man
JULY

Riley Sager – Lock Every Door
UNKNOWN
Sharon Bolton – The Poisoner
This is a weird one but I’ve included it anyway. I could have sworn the original publication date was May but Amazon now lists it as December 2020, which quite frankly I refuse to believe because I WANT IT NOW!
Honourable mention to Johana Gustawsson and the third book in the Roy & Castells series.

I have a feeling it’s going to be a great bookish year once again! Which book(s) are you looking forward to the most? Do let me know and I hope you’ve found something in this list that caught your eye. Happy reading! xx
Love this! As our tastes are quite similar, I want the exact same books as you 😃

Fab list! I’m thinking about getting the audiobook of Once Upon A River as I think I’ll enjoy more in that format.

Charles Dickens’ David Copperfield. I was actually really enjoying it but I need to be able to close my eyes and focus or I zone out 😳

I’ve got that to listen too is it narrated by Martin Jarvis?

Lots to look forward to! I especially look forward to Lock Every Door and the third book in the Roy & Castells series! From my own list I look foward to discovering the new book by Chris McGeorge. I really liked Guess Who and I want to discover if his sequel is just as great as his debut. Fingers crossed.

Guess Who is one of those books that has been on my Kindle for ages and I still haven’t read it!

Changeling and The Silent Patient are both brilliant. I’ve had my beady eye on The Whisper Man too after seeing that stunning cover.👍📚

It’s been so hard resisting the urge to read them! But I’m being a good girl *ahem* and sticking to my reading schedule.

Eurgh, schedule.😂 I saw Annie Thorne on your list too, definitely looking forward to that one.👍

The cover of the Changeling intrigued me so much I had to see what it was about, then of course I had to buy it… I might as well start the year as I mean to go on and spend all my money on books!

Great list of books there, 2019 is showing good potential for a wonderful year of reading. I’m looking forward to Steve Cavanagh’s Twisted, the new Sophie Kinsella one and the new Sharon Bolton one. Plus of course I have my huge backlist of tbr’s, which now includes books 1, 2 and 3 of the Kay Hunter mysteries!

Apparently not. So very rude. Although I do wonder, if it has been pushed back, why 18 months? That seems quite long.
