And another week bites the dust. I swear they’re going faster!
Temperatures have plummeted these last few days. Now, I realise I asked for a break from the heat but … going from 37°C to 21°C is a tad on the extreme side. I’ve gone from barely wearing anything to adding extra layers. I know, there’s just no pleasing me 😉
On to the books then!
Books I’ve read this week
The lack of sleep during the massive heatwave caught up with me and I had one of those days where I just couldn’t focus on anything and ended up chatting with friends while playing a silly game on my tablet. You know, like one of those incredibly productive days. Not. For a minute there, I worried I lost my reading mojo but no. (Thank goodness, since I already lost my reviewing mojo and that’s bad enough)
However, all is well again and I somehow managed to read 7 books again.
Books I’ve bought this week
Wait for it!
…..
Waaaaiiiit for it!
….
NONE! Who knew I had it in me?! 😂
ARC’s received via Netgalley
Just the one, for blog tour purposes. Those four requests I mentioned last week are STILL pending! Talk about testing my very limited patience. And I may have added a fifth in the meantime. Oops.
Bookpost that landed on my doorstep this past week
With huge thanks to Emma Curtis, Transworld and Headline.

Did you count them? That’s right! One blog tour! ONE! Enjoy the feeling while it lasts 😂
I am so counting down the days until my holiday! Four weeks to go. I’ve already made a pile of books to take with me. That’s not too early, is it? Of course, I also keep changing it because I’m apparently incredibly indecisive. 🙄
How do you decide what to take with you on holiday? Do you focus on ARC’s, for instance? Do you try to stay ahead on your schedule for when you return? Or do you just read for pleasure and not worry about deadlines and commitments?
That’s it for another week! Hope you all have a great one! Happy reading! xx
I’m in shock. ONE blog tour next week? As to holiday reads it depends how much I need to catch up. I prefer to take reading for pleasure but I think my forthcoming holiday will be reading ARCs to try and keep up with blog tour reviews I appear to have signed up for! 😉

I am shocked too. You have no idea how worried I am that I’m going to be inundated by emails from tour organisers because I forgot to schedule something 😂
I should check my planning to see if there’s anything I really should take with me but I’m too scared to look 😉

Wow are you feeling alright? No books bought and only one blog tour! I read for pleasure on holiday.

Read for pleasure on holiday as I can’t cope with writing reviews while I’m away!

I don’t think I’m going to be able to get away with not writing a single review. Eek.

Sorry – I mean I only review them on Goodreads when for pleasure 🙂

In the grand scheme of things, two isn’t bad at all! 😉

Ooh, I’ve read three of the books you’ll be reviewing next week – that’s a first, I think. Waiting to see whether we agree about any of them… 😉

YOU HAVEN’T BOUGHT ANY BOOKS??? Well, I compensated by buying too many xD
I don’t have any holiday so I can’t answer!!!! I’d say I just take my Kindle with me and go with the flow!

You didn’t buy any books ?! I’m already afraid for what’ll happen next week when you indulge in your craving :-). Some great bookpost you received, I look forward to your reviews! Happy reading Eva!

😂 I am determined not to buy any again this week. I don’t even have anything on my radar for the moment. Probably just jinxed myself.
Happy reading, lovely! xx

Looks like you behaved this week! So few new titles must be a new record. 😉
As for the holiday question: I always try to clean my ARC schedule for the period I will be away, and only read my own titles as a little treat to myself during my vacation. I might read an ARC or two near the end, but mostly just don’t want to worry about forgetting little things that would make my ARC review better. 😉
Have a wonderful week! xx
