Weekly Wrap-Up (July 1)

weekly-wrap-up

So, apparently it’s July. I honestly can’t wrap my head around that. It’s positively frightening how fast this year is going.

Halfway through the World Cup Football and luckily we’ve gone down to two matches per day, which leaves just that little bit more time to read. It’s a good thing I managed to get ahead of things there for a while or I’d be in serious trouble. The weekend is all about socialising and I’m shaking my fists in anger at those who dared thwart my plans.

I’m also wrapping up this post while talking to my mother-in-law as I didn’t have time to finish it beforehand because my laptop got stuck in a drawer. No, I didn’t have too much wine yesterday. Honestly. Stop laughing. 😉

Anyway, no time for babble. Let’s get to it. Here’s what I read this week.

Books I’ve read this week

I’m okay with my 5 books read. Slowly getting back to normal 😉

Books I’ve bought this week

I wasn’t going to buy any as I bit the bullet and signed up for the Goldsboro Book of the Month Club. But then Dennis started raving on about The Banker’s Wife and I just couldn’t resist pre-ordering it.

Just the one, which is for a blog tour. I do have another request pending.

Bookpost that landed on my doorstep this week

Spoiled. So utterly spoiled. Huge thanks to the publishers and to author Evie Gaughan.

On the blog this past week

Monday : Kicked off the week with an extract on the blog tour for Murder on the Green by H.V. Coombs

Tuesday : Joined the blog tour for Butterfly Ranch with a guest post from author R.K. Salters

Wednesday : Closed down the blog tour for The Date by Louise Jensen and posted my week in books, that I once again didn’t stick to. I don’t know why I bother 😂

Thursday : Joined the blog tour for Song with a guest post by author Michelle Jana Chan

Friday : Another day, another blog tour. This time for Rip Current with a guest post by author Amanda James.

Saturday : Ending the month in style with two blog tours and I shared my thoughts on What Kitty Did Next by Carrie Kablean and Stalker by Lisa Stone

Sunday : Joined the blog blitz for The Photograph by Debbie Rix and posted my wrap-up.

Whew!

Next week on Novel Deelights

Do I really need to say it? Blog tours, yes. Look out for Her Name Was Rose by Claire Allan, The Perfect Friend by Barbara Copperthwaite and the much anticipated next instalment in the Kay Hunter series, Gone to Ground by Rachel Amphlett. And so much more.

Right, that’s it. Off to see if I can fit into my freezer. Have a fab week and happy reading! xx

  1. Nice book post 😊 I’ll be interested to know how the Goldsboro Book of the Month club pans out. I’ve just downloaded the audible version of My Perfect Friend, looking forward to that one.

  2. Ooh another instalment of Kay and Rachel Amphlett. I’m sure this will be a rave review.
Imagine that…. you’re doing blog tours next week! 🤣😊⚽️
Ps. I’m still enjoying the footie too although sad that Portugal got knocked out. 😭

    1. I swear there will be a week without blog tours. Probably in September when I’m on holiday 🤣

I’m really enjoying the World Cup. It’s very unpredictable! Sad to see Portugal go as well but I’m now pinning all my hopes on Mexico. Enjoy!

    1. Honestly, I’m completely overwhelmed and every week I breathe a sigh of relief to see I managed to stick to all my commitments. I’m really going to have to find a way to ration myself as well. My Books of Summer challenge is going to be disastrous 🙄

      1. I feel glad I took a break from blog tours in June – well almost, certainly many less than I was doing before. I’ll probably take another one, perhaps in September, but start planning it now so I don’t agree to too many dates that month. It takes discipline – hard to ignore the e-mails – but it’s good to feel free to catch up on other reading.
