I’m pretty sure I blinked and the week was gone. No clue what happened.
Spent a fabulous Sunday afternoon with the OH’s family. There were tears (not me), there was drunken dancing (not me either), glasses were shattered and there was even some blood (also not me) and lots of tipsy singing (may have been involved in that 😳). Didn’t get home until 2am, up at 7am and realised I’m getting too old for this stuff 😂
I’ve once again been reading up a storm this week because … wait for it … here’s something you may not know about me … I watch football. Or at least the European and World Cups. So I’ve been reading around the matches these last few days and even during halftime because every minute and page counts.
Somehow I still managed to read 7 books. Sometimes I surprise myself.

Only 4 blog tours this week! I’ve even read them all already. You have no idea how accomplished I feel 😂.
Kicking off the week with my stop on the tour for The Tall Man by Phoebe Locke. I’ll also be joining the tours for Nobody’s Child by Victoria Jenkins, To Die in Vienna by Kevin Wignall and Missing Pieces by Laura Pearson. Plus, my reviews for Us Against You by Fredrick Backman and the second book from my 20 Books of Summer list, which is Skin Deep by Liz Nugent. (which autocorrect constantly changes to nugget 🙄)
In other news : Ha! There is none! I don’t have time for other news.
Right, I have some reviews to write and hopefully squeeze in some more reading before the next football match starts.
Wishing you all a fabulous week and lots of happy reading! xx
Well done for being up-to-date with your blog tour reads. That’s a nice feeling even if, in my case, it usually turns out to be temporary…

I’m fully prepared for it to be temporary but I’m enjoying this moment while it lasts 😄

I know! It’s been a long time since I’ve been this far ahead. I don’t see it lasting though 😂

Lol 😂 I’m up to date on reviews after scheduling another 5 this morning, that’s another thing that doesn’t take long to build up either 😔🤣

So impressed (and a little jealous!) that you’re ahead on tours. I am SO not a football fan can we still be friends? 😂

It’s been quite hard. There are a number of books on my TBR that are calling my name but with losing so much time watching tv, I have to try to stay ahead.
Also, yes 😉🤣

Wow only 4 blogtours. Wow already read your blog tour books of the week! Seriously, you’re so in control, it’s amazing. You’ll be able to finish your 20 books of summer soon :-). Oh who’s your favorite to win? Just curious :-). Can I guess.. Brasil?

I know, I am on a roll! I’m hoping to squeeze in a book for the 20 books of summer this week. We will see.
Not Brasil, no. And not Germany either. I’m backing smaller teams like Iceland and Mexico (who just kicked some serious German butt 😄) but favourite to win Portugal.

Now that is interesting, I didn’t have you down as a football fan at all! And I’m impressed that you’ve got all next weeks blog tours read, but still, 4, an improvement, but still…. lol

And tennis. I do like my tennis too. I grew up with football. I have watched all World Cups since 1982. /old fart

Wow, I used to have tennis lessons, but I don’t watch it, I don’t mind watching the World Cup though.

Looks like a fantastic bookish week. Are you supporting a particular team or just whoever’s winning? 😉

Hahaha! Nope. I normally go with Italy but since they’re not there it’s all about Iceland and Mexico. They probably won’t win but are fun to watch. For the win, I am backing Portugal.

Hahaha – your Sunday afternoon sounded wonderful! I wouldn’t have believed you if you’d denied being involved in the tipsy singing… 😉 Enjoy the football!
