Happy Easter to those who celebrate! Happy Chocolate Day to those who don’t!
Well, I don’t know about you but I have no idea where the first three months of the year went. How is it April already? Didn’t we just have Christmas last week?! On the positive side, looks like Spring has finally arrived! Which basically means one day of sunshine and five days with rain with a freaky thunder storm thrown in, but at least the temperatures are going up. 😄
Reading-wise, I had quite the weekend at the start of the week, which meant I spent three days on one book. Now that I’m writing my wrap-up, I realise I haven’t read as much as I thought I did.
Books I’ve read this week
Books I’ve bought this week
Okay, so. While I was preparing this post yesterday, I had just the one book and I felt totally okay with that. And then … well, I don’t know what happened. I checked my kindle and poof, there they all were. 😳
ARC’s received via Netgalley
Only two. Not to worry. I’ll catch up next week. 😄. One I was invited to read, the other one is of course for a blog tour.
On the blog this past week
Still as busy as busy can be and loving every minute of it!
Monday : Reviewed The Sandman by Lars Kepler
Tuesday : Joined the blog blitz for the fantastic Dark Lies by Nick Hollin
Wednesday : Joined the blog blitz for Last Night by Kerry Wilkinson and shared my week in books, although I don’t know why because that entire list went right out the window.
Thursday : Joined the blog tour for the brilliant Dead North by Joel Hames
Friday : Joined the blog blitz for the fabulous The Child Next Door by Shalini Boland
Saturday : I tried to put into words why Come and Find Me by Sarah Hilary is awesome!
Sunday : Weekly Wrap-Up
Next week on Novel Deelights
There may be a few blog tours. Okay, yes, there are definitely a few blog tours. I’m also hoping to write my reviews for Lullaby/The Perfect Nanny and The Darkness. But I seem to have lost my review writing mojo where those two books are concerned, so I’m not sure how that’ll pan out.
Question of the week : Prompted by a comment left on last week’s wrap-up from Lynne. Are you at all concerned that your incoming titles (bought, received, Netgalley, …) outnumber the amount of books you read? For instance, if you’ve hauled ten books in a week but you’ve only read 3, does that bother you? Does it induce a massive panic attack? Does it make you say “that’s it, no more, I’m sticking to what I have!”? Maybe even on a temporary basis, so you can reduce that insurmountable TBR? Or are you like me and have you long ago accepted you won’t be reading all the books you’ve bought but that doesn’t stop you from buying more anyway?
That’s it for another week! Have a great week and lots of happy reading! xx
