Weekly Wrap-Up (March 18)

weekly-wrap-up

Finally back with my weekly wrap-up after having my arse kicked by the flu from hell. I can’t remember the last time I was this poorly. Seriously, I didn’t read a single word in an entire week! A week! Unfortunately, that meant a mad dash last weekend as I was on three blog tours and blatantly refused to contact the organisers to pull out. I’m nothing if not insanely stubborn. I made it, nobody noticed a thing and I felt pretty accomplished. Luckily since then, my reading mojo has returned in force and I’ve had a fabulous reading week.

Books I’ve read this week

Six books read this past week. Not too shabby. Could have been seven but I was majorly distracted by social media yesterday, a two hour phone call and an emergency plumber visit. Of the real kind. Not that odd stuff you see in some type of movies. I mean … so, yes, books. Here they are. 😳

Books I’ve bought this week

Broken Girls is a pre-order and I already read/owned Dark Pines, Killed and The Chalk Man but wanted physical copies so those don’t count. Right?

ARC’s received via Netgalley

None. Apparently. I checked. I need to go grab some for blog tours though so watch this space next week.

Bookpost that landed on my doorstep this past week

Fabulous copy of Come and Find Me by Sarah Hilary, for which I immediately dropped everything. Read it in one sitting and have been struggling with my review ever since. It is the most awesomest of awesomestest (totally a word) ever!

On the blog this past week

Monday : Joined the blog tour for the fantastic End Game by Matt Johnson

Tuesday : Reviewed Call to Arms by Rachel Amphlett

Wednesday : This Week in Books

Thursday : Shared my thoughts on My Mother’s Secret by Sanjida Kay

Friday : Reviewed A Bridge Across The Ocean by Susan Meissner

Saturday : Shared my review for Bring Me Back by B.A. Paris

Sunday : Weekly Wrap-Up

Next week on Novel Deelights

As I mentioned, blog tours. Of course. Bookouture likes to keep me busy so there will be three in two days. Eek! I’ll be reviewing The Undercover Mother, No Safe Place and The Choice. I’ll also be reviewing Teresa Driscoll’s latest book, The Friend.

In other news : With an incredibly unfashionable delay, it’s time to pick the winners of my first blogiversary giveaway. Thank you for playing along! The innocent hand (or paw 😄) refused to help out so I had to call in the help of an online generator. The two winners are Tina and Jo. Please contact me via email or twitter DM so we can get things sorted out. Congratulations! 😘

And that’s it for another week. It’s good to be back. Wishing you all a fantastic week and lots of happy reading! xx

What a fabulous busy wrap up. I taken note of some of the books that I would like to read from your list. I didn’t know you had flu. I went everywhere to get flu jab they all had run out if supply or I had to put my name down on a waiting list. Verdict I didn’t get it done. I’m thrilled you are much better.

I’m SO glad that I’m not the only one who buys books AFTER reading them. I want to make sure that it is a favorite book before it enters my home in physical form. LOL

Me too! I won’t be repeating that though. If there’s a next time, I’m putting on my big girl pants and emailing the organisers 😂

Love you, my insanely stubborn bra! I’m so glad you read Call to Arms!! I have been torturing myself knowing it’s on my Kindle but I can’t read it right now… My review of The Perfect Girlfriend will be online next Saturday! I loved it! xxx

Why not? What is this torture?

Wow, lots of positivity about The Perfect Girlfriend. I probably won’t be able to squeeze it in any time soon though 🙄

Lots of love to you too, other side of the bra! 🤣❤️

Glad you are all better! Six books is a great number, and I kind of want to read all of the books on your list haha. And three bookouture blog tours in two days? Wow girl, you are being kept busy! One of the reasons I’m a bit afraid of starting blog tours myself haha. I hope you will have a wonderful week!
