Weekly Wrap-Up (November 5)

I don’t know what it was about this past week. The clocks going back, the fact we had a holiday smack-bang in the middle of the week, the weather (cold, dark and wet) or lack of decent sleep but it left me utterly discombobulated. To the point, where on Thursday I was still reading a book for a blog tour on Friday and that was just all sorts of wrong in my little world.

November is crazy enough as it is. And yet, like a good little rebel, I decided to squeeze in a book or two I desperately wanted to read instead of the ones I should be reading to honour commitments. Cue an immense sense of panic. You’ll be glad to know, I’m sure, that I have now in fact set up a reading schedule and while it does include some books I really really really want to read right NOW, I’m fully aware I need to put on my big lady pants and move them down the pile if (when) things get too stressful.

If someone knows of a course in “How to say no”, please let me know. 😄

So anypoodle, despite losing almost two full days of reading time, I still managed to be quite productive and read a grand total of 5 books.

Books I read this week

Books I bought this week

Just a few. I think I need help. Specifically in the “how to avoid buying books you don’t have time to read” department. 😄

ARC’s received via Netgalley

Two for blog tours. Two … erm, not for blog tours.

This week’s book post

Fabulous copy of CWA Anthology from Orenda for, you guessed it, a blog tour.

On the blog this past week

Monday : Shared my review for Anne Boylen : A King’s Obsession by Alison Weir

Tuesday : Joined the blog blitz for Murder Game by Caroline Mitchell

Wednesday : Reviewed Broken Bones by Angela Marsons

Thursday : Joined the blog tour for Absolution with a guest post by author P.A. Davies

Friday : I was on the blog tour for Don’t Tell A Soul by D.K. Hood

Saturday : Welcomed author David Videcette to the blog

Next week on Novel Deelights

I’ll be hosting stops on the blog tours for The Secret Mother and CWA Anthology. Yes, still need to read those in case you were wondering. I also have a wonderful guest post by author Pankaj Giri and some reviews to share, if they ever get written. 😒

That’s it. I’m off to read. Have a great week and I wish you all lots of happy reading! xx

Some of these books sound great, I’m just starting to get into crime/thriller so I think I’ll check a few out 🙂 Would love if you could check out my blog https://daydreamingroux.com/

Loved Crimson Snow last year, but sadly missed Silent Nights… I may have to acquire it for this Christmas… 🙂
