Weekly Wrap-Up (October 29)

weekly-wrap-up

Autumn is in full swing and I hate it. 😄. Sure, nature is pretty with all its stunning colours. But really, Autumn is just the prelude to Winter, which I quite frankly hate even more. I don’t like the short, dark days, the cold, that annoying icky white fluffy stuff that falls from the skies. I just count down the days to Spring. Luckily I have a lot of books to keep me entertained.

Since I was away last weekend, there was no wrap-up. But in the spirit of full disclosure, I’ll admit I read one book that week. Although in my defence, it was more than 500 pages long. 😜

This week was a bit better. A lot of catching up on blog tour reading and there’s more to come of that in the following weeks because November is absolutely INSANE! Anyway, I read 6 books this week and I’m halfway through the utterly brilliant Lie To Me by JT Ellison.

Books I read this week

Books I bought this week

Too many! Too many! I already owned The Theseus Paradox and The Detriment on Kindle but really wanted the print copies too. The others are new additions. I just need time to read them 😄

ARC’s received via Netgalley

All these are necessary as I am on the blog tours. Lots more to come over the next few weeks. I’m downloading in bits and pieces so my rating doesn’t drop like a hot potato.

Skipping this next bit as apart from my own orders arriving, there was no book post this week. It’s okay. I’ll live. 😂

On the blog this past week

I didn’t post anything on Monday and Tuesday. It felt weird 😄

Wednesday : This Week in Books

Thursday : Joined the blog tour for No Bodies by Robert Crouch

Friday : Took part in the blog blitz for Silent Lies by Kathryn Croft

Saturday : Shared my review of the brilliant The Life We Bury by Allen Eskens

Sunday : Another blog blitz, this time for The Lost Child by Patricia Gibney, my weekly wrap-up and you may want to check back later tonight for something extra special. Just sayin’. 😉

Next week on Novel Deelights

Three more blog tours next week : Caroline Mitchell’s Murder Game, P.A. Davies’ Absolution and DK Hood’s Don’t Tell A Soul. And if I ever finish writing the four reviews in my drafts folder, there will be other stuff too 😂

That’s it. Have a great week and happy reading! xx

I’m in the same position as you…I can’t believe the number of blog tours over the next few weeks. Must have been having a delusional moment(s) when I signed up to them all.

Right? And I told myself to keep December free. Failed, of course. But I am trying to go for more content post. I do need to sleep from time to time!

Gosh. The ones you’ve read this week… sounds like such a good week of reading! Also see you’ve got Grisham to read 😍

It was a great week of reading! I’m a bit conflicted about Grisham. As a life-long fan, he’s been letting me down a bit lately but there’s no way I’ll stop buying/reading his books. Just hope this one’s reminiscent of his golden days!

Same – life long fan of Grisham. I’ve began reading it…. I’m not 100% so far. It’s got potential, it’s just whether or not he’ll run with the plot and turn it into a masterpiece. Last three books have been fantastic by any normal authors’ standards but for me they’ve not met Grisham’s usual high standard

I like autumn, but here we get crazy freezing temperatures in the morning and evening, and it’s super warm during the day, making it hell to choose clothes, haha! The problem with being in a book shop every day is… I bought so many stuff xD I need time to write my wrap up post now xD

Happy reading. I am not a huge fan of fall either other than the fact that we finally get relief from the extreme heat! John Grishams new on should be in my mailbox any day and I’m looking forward to it!

Ooh, hope you enjoy the new Grisham! And yay for finding some relief from the extreme heat. I don’t mind the heat myself, as long as I can still step outside and actually breathe 😄

You and me both! We are in spring here in New Zealand, but it has been a very damp and cold spring and I despair that summer will ever arrive.
