What a week it’s been! Wasted a lot of time waiting on deliveries that didn’t arrive, appointments that didn’t show up and in the midst of it all, my favourite tree in my garden lost a huge chunk during a storm. I’ve since had someone come take a look and sadly, the tree is rotting and will have to be removed. 😭. Luckily, nobody was hurt and there’s no damage. And on the bright side, I got to work with a power tool. Though not for very long because the chain kept falling off. Yep, one of those weeks. 😄
So, my reading took a hit. A big hit! I checked Goodreads four times because I couldn’t quite believe it myself. I have read a incredibly pathetic number of 3 books this week. 😳
Books I read this week :
Books I bought this week :
Way more impressive! Yes, I hereby declare my self-imposed book buying ban OVER!
ARC’s received via Netgalley :
Really looking forward to reading these!
Bookpost that arrived this week :
I was very lucky to be sent an early proof of this one by Michael Joseph.
On the blog this past week :
Monday : Shared my review for The Missing Girls by Carol Wyer
Tuesday : Reviewed The Kindred Killers by Graham Smith
Wednesday : Shared my thoughts on The Doll House by Phoebe Morgan
Thursday : Joined the blog blitz for The Mistake by K.L. Slater
Friday : Reviewed The Fourteenth Letter by Claire Evans
Saturday : Hosted a stop on the blog tour for Snare by Lilja Sigurdardottir
Sunday : Weekly Wrap-Up
Next week on noveldeelights :
More blog tours! On Tuesday, I’ll be hosting a stop on the tour for The Fallen Agent by Oliver Tidy. And on Saturday, I’ll be on two Bookouture tours : Her Last Secret by Barbara Copperthwaite and Snowflakes, Iced Cakes and Second Chances by Sue Watson. Yes, still have to read those. IT’S FINE! 😄
In other news, I’ve decided to keep Sunday review-free, unless I’m on a blog tour of course. I may do the same for Wednesdays just to give myself some breathing space. We’ll see how it goes. I’ve posted a review pretty much every day since I started this blog but with weeks like this past one, I’ll be running out of reviews fast! 😄
That’s it for another week! Have a great one and happy reading! xx
Wow what a week!

Three books is definitely not pathetic – I feel incredibly pleased with myself if I manage that in a week.. I don’t know how you get through the number of books you do!

I can’t remember the last time I read so little in a week. It completely threw me! 😄

Three books a week is not pathetic my dear – I high five myself if I read 3 in a month now 😉

Are you just having an unlucky streak with a few “meh” books in a row? Or is nothing taking your fancy and you’d rather do something else?

I have so many books I do want to read but my reading has slowed right down. I have several more to read for upcoming blog tours so need to knuckle down!

I think you’ve caught “the book review café”bug 😂😂I’ve come to the conclusion I will read as and when I can, post reviews when I want it works for me. I use to post every single day but since I cut back to only sharing review 4 x a week my blog seems to have gone from strength to strength. Hope you get more reading done this week and sorry about your tree x

Yeah, I thought about it on holiday and felt I needed a bit more of a balance hence the few changes I’m trying to make. We’ll see if it works. If not, I’ll have to ponder some more. And at least, three is better than one. 😂

Lucky you, nobody would ever trust me with a chainsaw in my hands :-)! Let’s just admit, those book-buying bans never last long with any of us :-). The amount of books you’re reading it is also really a necessity.. we wouldn’t want to run out of books now do we :-)?

Pretty sure running out of books is never going to happen 😄
My book buying ban lasted longer than I expected it to. But the monster has been unleashed again now. Already bought two and it’s only Monday! 😳

I’m so jealous! I feel like booking a day trip to London and just go from book store to book store. Never mind tourist things 😂

Poor tree! And three books is a mountain compared to what I got done… AKA zip, none! October has been a total disaster reading wise so far. xD I hope next week will treat you better!
