Hosted by Lipsy Lost and Found, my Wednesday post gives you a taste of what I’m reading this week. A similar meme is run by Taking on a World of Words.
Last book I finished reading :
Two sisters. One secret. A lie that could destroy them both.
When her father dies, Josie is devastated to uncover he led a secret life: another house, another family and a half-sister called Valentina.
Both with red hair and icy blue eyes, Josie and Valentina could be mistaken for twins. But the similarities end there…
Josie – Sweet, reserved, jealous, thief.
Valentina – Care-free, confident, dangerous, liar.
Two sisters. One survivor.
The book I’m currently reading :
‘Small hostilities were growing; vague jealousies were gaining strength; and far off, wasn’t there a nebulous hint of approaching tragedy in the air?’
Welworth Garden City in the 1940s is a forward-thinking town where free spirits find a home – vegetarians, socialists, and an array of exotic religious groups. Chief among these are the Children of Osiris, led by the eccentric High Prophet, Eustace K. Mildmann. The cult is a seething hotbed of petty resentment, jealousy and dark secrets – which eventually lead to murder.
The stage is set for one of Inspector Meredith’s most bizarre and exacting cases.
What I’m reading next :
A woman at home in Liverpool is disturbed by a persistent tapping at her back door. She’s disturbed to discover the culprit is a raven, and tries to shoo it away. Which is when the killer strikes.
DS Nathan Cody, still bearing the scars of an undercover mission that went horrifyingly wrong, is put on the case. But the police have no leads, except the body of the bird – and the victim’s missing eyes.
As flashbacks from his past begin to intrude, Cody realises he is battling not just a murderer, but his own inner demons too.
And then the killer strikes again, and Cody realises the threat isn’t to the people of Liverpool after all – it’s to the police.

Have you read any of these? Would you like to? What are you reading this week? Let me know! Happy reading to you all! xx
I’m planning on starting Mrs. Flatcher by Tom Perrotta today (I hope :D). I’m in my adult fiction zone now. I hope you enjoy your current and future read!

Very curious about my current selection but my next one seems to quite the hit among bloggers so I’m quietly confident I’ll enjoy that one.
Enjoy your book!

A Tapping At My Door is a brilliant book. One of my top reads from last year. Was my first introduction to the authors books and went on to buy his others in a different series and loved them all. Met him at Harrogate. Such a lovely guy as well. x

I’ve had it on my kindle for ages! I forgot all about it until Kate mentioned it on Twitter earlier so I’ve moved it up the pile. I have little doubt I’ll love it! Will let you know soon! xx

Great reading week so far! Now if only I could figure out what to read when I finish Tapping. I waste so much time on trying to decide 😂

I have so many books I need/want to read ASAP that it’s been hard deciding as well… Although lately I’ve been picking up whatever I feel in the mood for at that particular moment and it seems to be working. 😉

The Good Sister sounds like my type of read, though I’ve read something that sounds similar recently so may wait a while before reading it.

Which book was that?

Sister Sister by Sue Fortin – I really enjoyed it, though I did figure out the ending I got over it because it was well written.

You’re right, they do sound similar and having read both, I can’t quite decide which one I preferred 😄
