Weekly Wrap Up (June 4)

weekly-wrap-up

It looks like we skipped Spring and went straight to Summer with temperatures soaring this past week. Now, I love the heat, I really do. But boy, does it suck when you’re trying to sleep at night. So I’ve been very tired this past week and plagued by lots of headaches but I still managed to read 9 books.

(Also, for Lorraine’s sake, I’d like to point out I read 32 books in May. 😂)

Books I read this week :

Books I bought this week :

Too many, as per usual. I don’t know when I think I’m going to get around to reading any of these, to be honest!

ARC’s received from Netgalley :

Wait for it! Waaaaiiiiiit for it! NONE! Oh, it’s been hard. Although, I did actually request two but they haven’t been approved (or declined) yet.

Bookpost that arrived this week :

A signed copy of Vengeance by Roger A. Price which I won in a giveaway along with Nemesis.

On the blog this past week :

Busy, busy, busy and loving it!

Monday : Tried to catch up with review requests, starting with Weave a Murderous Web

Tuesday : Posted my review for Secrets of the Dead

Wednesday : This Week in Books and another review request for Hear Me

Thursday : Shared my review for Death in Profile

Friday : Hosted a stop on the blog tour for One to Watch

Saturday : Another blog tour review, this time for Vile City

Sunday : Joined the blog tour for Exquisite and posted my weekly wrap-up

Next week on noveldeelights :

Tomorrow, I’ll be on the blog tour for A Daughter’s Courage by Renita D’Silva with an extract. I’ll be hosting another Bloodhound Books tour on Thursday when I’ll be sharing my review for The Eyes of the Accused by Mark Tilbury. And there will be some stuff in between. Just don’t know what yet. 😄

In other news, I’m loving this whole no-star-rating thing and I wish I’d done this sooner. It’s so freeing!

Wishing you all a fabulous week and happy reading! xx

    1. I need to do less of them. Way less! 😄

I find there’s quite a lot of pressure when you have to read something, when maybe you’d rather be reading something else. I did take on too many, wanting to help out and also because the books sounded so good. It’s a great thing to get your blog out there and get noticed but it’s not always easy. Especially when the book doesn’t grab you. Such an awful feeling to have to tell the organiser of the tour that you can’t review when you said you would.

Just a few things for you to consider. It’s fun but take it slow, if you choose to go that way. 😄

  1. 9 books is pretty impressive especially with everything that was going on. I am interested in some of those titles especially the Bookouture ones. Congrats on the NetGalley ‘go-slow’. I have been trying to do that. I hope to stay away from requests this month at least until I get through 18 of the ARCs that I have.

Have a wonderful week and I hope that the headaches are gone now. Happy reading.

    1. Bookouture is really kicking it out of the park lately. So many great books they have on offer!

I did request some books on Netgalley again. Still, only 4 on my shelf at the moment, with another one pending. Not too bad. And I’m planning on reading/reviewing one today or tomorrow to keep ahead of things.

Wishing you a wonderful week too, Diana!
