Weekly Wrap Up (May 7)

The first week of May has come and gone and I’m still waiting for Spring to arrive. I have quite a lot to do in my garden but since the weather has been so uncooperative, I’ve been reading a lot instead. I almost sound like I’m complaining. I’m really not.

So, this week I read 8 books. Not too shabby.

Books I read this week :

Books I bought this week :

Books received from Netgalley :

Along with my shiny new 80% approval rating badge that I will cling onto like my life depends on it! Maybe.

Book post that arrived this week :

Oh yes! It’s been one heck of a week! *does a little dance*

On the blog this past week :

Managed to post every day this week. Whoop! I may yet get the hang of this blogging thing.

On Monday, I posted a review for Forgotten by Neven Carr.

Then on Tuesday, I posted an extract from Pigeon-Blood Red by Ed Duncan.

Wednesday saw me hosting a stop on the blog tour for KA Richardson’s Watch You Burn and the weekly “This week in books”, which once again proved that, no matter how I hard I try, I can’t stick to a schedule even if I write it down for all to see. Oops.

On Thursday I posted my review for the delightful Ella’ Ice-Cream Summer by Sue Watson.

Friday had me sharing my review for Only The Dead by Malcolm Hollingdrake.

And finally on Saturday, I joined the Beat The Backlist challenge.

Next week on the blog :

I do actually have a schedule written out but by now I’m sure you all know me well enough to realise that doesn’t mean anything.

However, one post it set in stone and it’s coming on Tuesday when I’ll be hosting a stop on the blog tour for Block 46 by Johana Gustawsson and I couldn’t be more excited!!!! /exclamation point abuse

Have a fabulous week and happy reading! xx

  1. Look behind you has been on my readlist since forever and I read Night Road 2 years ago and still have my review somewhere in my drafts I think. It was a 5 star read though, I do remember that ;-). Have you read the first Carol Wyer novel? I really hope this one is just as good but I can’t request it because I still have too many :(. You’d read them all in a week but it takes me 8 weeks because I don’t have enough time to read ;-). So jealous of your book post too! I’m sure you’ll write amazing reviews for them!
